ChargeMap24 started with the interactive charging map, and that was the right place to begin. But we quickly realized: a map shows you where to charge. It doesn't tell you how much it costs, which connector is the right one, or whether your home charger qualifies for an incentive.
That's why we built out the guide section, now with over 40 independent, ad-free researched articles covering every relevant aspect of EV ownership and charging.
What the 40 guides cover
The guide section breaks down into five main topic areas:
- Basics: Charging guide, Connector types, Understanding charging times
- Home charging: Installation, Model comparison 2026, Pairing solar with a home charger
- Costs and incentives: Charger incentives, Total cost overview, Free charging

Why we don't build affiliate-driven buying guides
Plenty of comparison sites present themselves as neutral guides while really just collecting commissions. That's a legitimate business model, but it's not ours. ChargeMap24 is funded independently of commission-driven clicks.
That means we can write product comparisons without hidden weighting. If a plan is good, we say so. If it's not, we say that too. It sounds simple, but in practice it's genuinely rare in EV content.
How every guide is structured
Every guide follows a consistent format:
- The core question: what does the reader actually want to know? The answer comes in the first section, not buried at the end.
- Context: why does this topic matter, and what's changed recently?
- Data and tables: comparisons, numbers, concrete recommendations
- Practical tips: what this means day to day, for a commuter, an occasional driver, or a high-mileage road warrior
- FAQ: the most common follow-up questions, answered concisely

Quality over quantity: how we build these
40 articles sounds like a lot. We took our time getting there. Every piece is researched against current sources, written, checked for internal consistency, and finally linked to related guides. Internal linking isn't an SEO checkbox for us, it's part of the reading experience: you should be able to move seamlessly from the connector guide to the charging-time guide without losing your place.

These 40 articles are a starting point. Coming in the months ahead:

Yes – every guide on ChargeMap24 is and will remain free. No paywall, no subscription, no registration.
How often is content updated?
Pricing and incentive terms change regularly. We update guides at least once a year, sooner for major changes. Every article shows its last revision date.
Are there videos or podcasts too?
Not currently – we focus on text-based content with tables and graphics. Video content is under consideration for the future.
